Terms of service
For the purposes of these terms and conditions, the hirer of the equipment shall be referred to as the “Customer”
The owner and supplier of the equipment shall be referred to as “Igloo Escape”. Equipment means all items that are hired and collected by the customer or delivered by Igloo Escape to the customer whether or not the items have been paid for.
BOOKING
We don't take deposits and your bookings won't be locked until the balance has been paid in full.
REFUNDABLE BOND
Igloo Escape reserves the right to request a security bond to cover any equipment. A refundable deposit of $100 during your hire period is required when booking. Any damaged, lost, stolen or significantly dirty items will be charged at full replacement cost and/or cleaning cost, this will then be deducted from the bond amount. Should this amount exceed the total bond amount on hold, the customer will be responsible to pay any balance owing.
Once we receive the items back in their original condition, the bond will be refunded via the original payment method within 2 business days.
CANCELLATION POLICY
The customer may cancel an order at any time by advising Igloo Escape in writing, we require a minimum of 48 hours notice prior to delivery; all booking costs are non-refundable if you cancel 14 days before your booking. However, we can work with you to book another date. Bookings cancelled within fifteen (15) days of the event date will be refunded 100% of the total booking cost.
Cancellations of bookings/events due to weather shall still be subject to the cancellation policy above. Igloo Escape is in no way responsible for intemperate weather that may cause the customer to cancel their booking.
FORCE MAJEURE
For the purpose of this clause, “Force Majeure” means an event or circumstance beyond the reasonable control of a party, including, but not limited to war, rain, hail, wind, fire, explosion, pandemics, civil disobedience, and legislation not in force at the date of this agreement or labour disputes. Neither Igloo Escape nor the customer will breach this agreement and each party will not be liable to the other party for delay or failure to perform its obligation under this agreement due to Force Majeure. Igloo Escape may give written notice to the customer, giving full particulars of such Force Majeure.
Igloo Escape shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential losses or expenses suffered by the customer, including but not limited to, loss of turnover, profits, business or goodwill or any liability to any other party or for any loss or damage suffered by the customer as a result of any delays caused by such Force Majeure events.
DAMAGE, LOST OR STOLEN EQUIPMENT
Upon delivery of the equipment and until the collection, the customer has full responsibility for all equipment hired. The customer will pay the full replacement cost of any equipment badly damaged, lost or stolen. The customer will pay any repairing costs to damaged equipment. Any damaged equipment will be decided by Igloo Escape if it can be repaired or require replacement. Burns, holes, tears, water damage or other similar damage to the equipment shall be replaced at full cost to the customer.
The customer shall protect the equipment from the elements during the time of hire. In poor weather conditions, storage of the equipment may be necessary and is the responsibility of the customer to see that the equipment is stored safely. Accidents can happen and we still want you to feel happy about your experience.
All goods are to remain at the customer’s address as advised on the booking unless written consent is given by Igloo Escape.
DELIVERY COLLECTION, SETUP AND PICK-UPS
Installation, assembly, styling, collection are included in the hire cost unless stated otherwise.
Delivery times will be between 8 am to 10 am. Please allow up to 1 hour and 30 minutes to set up. Bookings are hired for 24 hours, any time passed the 24 hour period, additional charges will apply.
Our igloos are 3.6m x 3.6m in Length/Width and 2.20m in height. Therefore, to complete the setup, we need an area that is 4m in length, 4m in width and 250cm in height. We also need a flat, accessible and even surface to complete the installation. If not, the igloo will not be installed and no refund will be given.
For Corporate and Public events, delivery fees will be calculated when quoting.
DISCLAIMER
This equipment is hired and the right of use is granted to the customer. The equipment remains at all times under the ownership of the owner (Igloo Escape), and the charge is made for the service of supplying the equipment, transporting to and from the site and erecting, installing and dismantling the equipment. The customer is responsible for all loss and damage to the equipment.
